Yew Tree Drawing

Pounds House in Plymouth has parkland that are well worth a visit for mature specimens of interesting trees.


This beautiful yew tree stands near the back of the house. The branches hang typically low, so it is possible to crouch under them. I took a few photographs, finally deciding on this image to draw in my studio.


The drawing is worked in pencil on smooth surface, heavy weight cartridge paper.
